VEX IQ Level Up Challenge in STEAMUpcoming Events
Grade 6 STEAM students put their completed robots to the test in the VEX IQ Level Up challenge. To succeed, teams refined their initial build designs, specifically modifying the mechanical claw mechanism so it lowers low enough to secure the beanbags effectively. Alongside physical design updates, students programmed their controllers to enable precise, manual driver control during competition runs.
Working in collaborative teams, students are steering their robots, picking up beanbags, and manoeuvring them onto the various scoring pyramid levels. Every stage of this iterative engineering journey from troubleshooting mechanical limitations to refined driver control is actively documented in their engineering notebooks.
